Summary: Testing tool for kernel networking stack
The packetdrill scripting tool enables quick, precise tests for entire
TCP/UDP/IPv4/IPv6 network stacks, from the system call layer down to the
NIC hardware. packetdrill currently works on Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and
NetBSD. It can test network stack behavior over physical NICs on a LAN, or
on a single machine using a tun virtual network device.

Changelog

* Sat May 30 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
  - Update to version 2.0+git.20260514:
    * Add PSP Security Protocol support: script-parser
      encapsulation, header parsing, psp_state and
      psp_rx_assoc/psp_tx_assoc syscalls, real AES-GCM crypto,
      ynl-c based libraries, and BPF-filter/iptables handling
      plus test cases
    * Add Accurate ECN (AccECN) TCP option support and expose
      AccECN counters/status and ecn_mode through tcpi
    * Sync struct _tcp_info with the v6.16 kernel uAPI header
    * Print TCP option names and contents instead of the
      numerical kind
    * Assorted test-harness and README improvements
  - Rebase make-build-more-consistent-with-openSUSE-packaging.patch
    for the restructured upstream Makefiles; the -static removal it
    used to carry is now the upstream default, so only the
    CFLAGS/LDFLAGS handling remains
  - Build with -fno-strict-aliasing and drop the spec's own -Werror
    and -Wno-* flags: the checksum code type-puns the packet buffer,
    which -O2 strict aliasing miscompiled and made checksum_test fail;
    the distribution build flags are now used as-is (only
    - fno-strict-aliasing is added)
* Wed May 21 2025 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
