| Summary: Model Context Protocol server for graphify | |
The graphify-mcp entry point, exposing the graphify knowledge graph to AI assistants over the Model Context Protocol.
Apache-2.0 AND MIT
* Wed Aug 26 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
- Update to 0.9.50:
* Ruby methods ending in !, ? or = keep distinct node ids, and a
call on a qualified constant receiver binds to the receiver's
full constant path
* CommonJS member exports wrapped in a higher-order function are
captured
* merge-graphs offsets each input's community ids so communities
from different repositories no longer fuse
* C# and TypeScript enum members emit a node with a case_of edge
to their enum
* watch no longer re-triggers on the watcher's own read-only
inotify events
* A .graphify_root marker written by Windows PowerShell is read
and written without a UTF-8 BOM
* Ignore-pattern matching is evaluated lexically and cached, so
pattern-heavy trees scan much faster
* The postgres extra pulls the tree-sitter-sql grammar and an
unusable grammar now raises instead of returning zero nodes
* Mon Aug 24 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
- Update to 0.9.49:
* merge-graphs links a type declaration two repositories share
with a same_type_as edge
* C# gains property member nodes, calls edges for object-creation
expressions, references edges for generic type arguments and
dispatches_to edges from a single-implementation interface
* Merged C/C++/Objective-C declaration nodes point at the
definition site instead of the header prototype
* Bash command substitution on the right of an assignment emits
a calls edge
* SQL CREATE TABLE inside a BEGIN/COMMIT transaction is extracted
* Zig methods on enums and unions, Julia abstract types with a
supertype, Common Lisp cross-file base classes and PowerShell
enum definitions are extracted
* Empty semantic results are no longer cached, and fresh results
are scoped to the files actually dispatched
* extract --code-only --force keeps the document semantic layer
* A class inheriting from a built-in base no longer collapses
onto a same-named class in another language
* The git post-commit hook resolves graphify installed as a uv
tool
* Re-export into a pre-manifest Obsidian vault adopts graphify's
own notes instead of orphaning them
* tsconfig/jsconfig alias caches are cleared per extraction run
* Oversized PDFs are sliced through their text converter and
sized from the extracted text; every text document type is
sliced when oversized
- Build noarch: the package ships no binaries (rpmlint no-binary)
- Drop the stray shebang from graphify/callflow_html.py, a library
module that is never installed as a script (rpmlint
non-executable-script)
- Switch from update-alternatives to libalternatives (alts), the
Factory default: the generic names graphify and graphify-mcp are
declared in config files and nothing runs at install time
- Provide graphifyy-mcp from the primary flavour of the mcp
subpackage, matching the graphifyy Provides on the main package
* Fri Aug 21 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
- BuildRequires/Recommends the C tree-sitter-<lang> grammar
libraries: python bindings ctypes-load those shared objects,
and only tree-sitter-python's python subpackage Requires
the matching C library
- BuildRequires python-PyYAML so nested Markdown frontmatter
tests use the YAML parser
- Skip test_built_wheel_ships_the_full_skill_payload: it runs
python -m build, which collides with OBS's build package
- Pass pytest --basetemp so query CLI tests do not match
"build" inside the OBS user name abuild
- Requires(post/postun): update-alternatives for the
graphify / graphify-mcp alternatives scriptlets
* Fri Aug 21 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
- Update to 0.9.48:
* Extractor and graph correctness: directed path queries,
shrink-guard on incremental merge, language-specific
call/import resolution, deterministic ids
* MCP extra is dual-compat with mcp 1.x/2.x and requires
starlette >= 1.3.1 (CVE-2026-48818, CVE-2026-54283)
* Optional OCaml and Common Lisp extras (unpackaged)
- Replace spec-cleaner-exploded perl(Git::*) BuildRequires
with git-core
- Skip test_label_communities_batches_when_over_batch_size:
batches run concurrently so completion order is racy
- Ship only the GitHub tag archive: the PyPI sdist omits
tests/fixtures and ARCHITECTURE.md, so the second source
overlay is unnecessary
* Mon Jul 27 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
- Initial package of graphifyy 0.9.27:
* The graphify CLI: builds a queryable knowledge graph of a
codebase, answers plain-English queries with file:line
citations, traces paths, explains symbols and summarizes PR
impact; registers the /graphify skill with AI assistants
* Language extraction uses the python-tree-sitter-<language>
grammar modules, wired as Recommends: every grammar is
optional and a missing one only disables that language
* graphify-mcp ships in the -mcp subpackage, which requires the
matching-flavor mcp module; the main package no longer pulls
or recommends mcp
* The primary python3 flavor provides graphifyy = %%{version}
(the plain PyPI name)
* Grammar and mcp Recommends are flavor-explicit
(%%{python_flavor}-…) so each pythonXYZ subpackage recommends
matching-flavor grammar modules
* tests/test_skillgen.py is ignored in %%check: it imports the
repository-only tools/ directory absent from the sdist
* The test fixture data (absent from the sdist as well) comes
from the matching upstream git tag as a second source
* %%check builds against all 25 grammar modules, git and mcp so
the language extraction suite really runs
* Test files needing network access or an unsandboxed HOME are
ignored in %%check
* License is Apache-2.0 AND MIT: upstream relicensed to
Apache-2.0 and keeps earlier MIT-contributed portions under
LICENSE-MIT, see the NOTICE file
