In previous releases, the RPC failed after waiting 5 minutes. This was not intended as an enhancement, but rather is a side effect of fixing the crash described above. But it also adds consistency, since the wait for the DNS lookup was always indefinite, ironically, in the case that the program specified timeout.

* Packet stream socket: fix: sends corrupted packet when the packet contains an ESC character. Always broken. (packet stream sockets were new in Xmlrpc-c 1.11 - June 2007).
