Changelog

* Fri Oct 23 2026 Paolo Stivanin <info@paolostivanin.com>
  - Update to 0.13.0 (upstream tag v0.13.0, 2026-10-23):
    * Covers v0.10.0, v0.11.0, v0.12.0 and v0.13.0; 0.13.0 itself only
      validates CLI paths/arguments in upstream's dev tools.
    * Raw/import: Minolta MRW, tiled RW2 format 8 (DC-S1RM2 high-res),
      table-less packed Nikon NEFs, Lightroom lossy DNGs (JPEG XL
      tiles), Sony SR2/SRF folder import, Hasselblad FFF colour, TIFF
      strips/tiles over 128 MiB, AI Denoise for 102 MP Bayer raws.
    * Colour: X-Trans CMOS 4 spectral matrices, Kelvin white balance
      for Nikon Z5II and Canon CR2 presets, Nikon DSLR and Fujifilm
      lens profiles, A7CR embedded distortion, tone curve fixes.
    * Develop: Guided Upright guides editable, Alt-drag clipping
      previews, View Options for the loupe info lines, crop fixes
      (shape lock, orientation, spiral guide, tilted edges), SAM 3
      falls back to the CPU, HDR merge warps use Lanczos-3, GPU
      denoise fixed on DX12 with NVIDIA Pascal.
    * Library: search finds named people, large Lightroom catalogs
      read by page, album hierarchy kept on import, faster grid and
      File Path smart rules, stack badge, F8 and backslash shortcuts.
    * Hardening: stricter parsing of XMP, GPS, GPX, colours, URLs,
      redirects, dates and catalog/face index records; bounded TIFF
      entries, JPEG XL/HEIF sizes and brush strokes; commands and MCP
      params validated before mutation; idle control connections
      expire; date/time conversion now goes through chrono.
    * Translations: new Finnish, Indonesian, Swedish and Vietnamese;
      German, Czech, Italian, Polish and others updated.
    * Re-vendored (update=false kept for --locked, respect-lockfile
      true); only new crate is chrono 0.4.45 (MIT OR Apache-2.0), no
      other crate changed version; license re-derived over shipped
      targets, no new copyleft, tag stands; no new system deps, MSRV
      still 1.90; cargo_audit reports no advisories.
  - Bump the fixed metainfo release date to 2026-10-23.
  - Legal-Review-Notice: correct heic-rs version to 0.1.4 (pinned
    upstream since 0.8.0; the notice still said 0.1.1).
* Sun Oct 18 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
  - Update to 0.9.1 (upstream tag v0.9.1, 2026-10-18):
    * Catalog: Lightroom import results fixed with lower CPU/memory use;
      DNG export writes the color the raw opens with; faces from replaced
      photos dropped.
    * Editing: Reset tooltip shows the platform shortcut; radial masks keep
      inside/outside from Lightroom; loupe overlay layout image; crop
      straighten/rotate and NaN-rect fixes; Show All Masks in zoom windows.
    * Never-crash fixes: raw size checks (PEF, TIFF tiles, ARW6), no
      write-through at temp-file links, CLI rejects non-object params.
    - Hardening: crafted Lightroom catalogs can no longer smuggle an
      executable into the library and run it via Open Original / Edit In;
      only file types LightCraft reads reach the system opener, and
      catalog paths are followed only on this computer or the catalog's
      share.
    * Packaging: HEIF images advertised, AppStream screenshot repaired.
    * Re-vendored (update=false kept for --locked, no in-tree vendor/ upstream;
      respect-lockfile true); license re-derived over shipped targets, no new
      copyleft (new crates all craft-family MIT/Apache-2.0), tag stands;
      no new system deps.
* Thu Oct 15 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
  - Update to 0.8.0 (upstream tag v0.8.0):
    * Export: HLG HDR AVIF, Render to DNG, resized exports keep the
      asked edge, merges keep the reference lens corrections.
    * Display: monitor profiles kept sharp when zoomed, Linux previews
      use the colord display profile, HDR histogram follows drags.
    * Import: HEIC/HEIF/NRW folder import, CR2 white level, ORF/NEF/PEF
      fixes, Leica Q3, Canon EOS RP, Nikon D90/D7100 frame fixes.
    * Library: portable mode via portable.txt, Synchronize Folder,
      Recently Deleted for Local photos, faces from previews.
    * Hardening: many never-crash fixes (mask/NEF/PEF/demosaic/export
      overflows, NaN inputs, damaged-catalog repair, preset zip cap).
    * Perf: 64 MP raws stay decoded on GPU, slider drags skip re-decode,
      smart previews at JPEG quality 97, heic-rs 0.1.4 (was 0.1.1).
    * Re-vendor with update=false; license audit finds no new copyleft
      (self_cell still Apache-2.0 option), so the License tag is
      unchanged. No CVEs in the v0.7.1 to v0.8.0 range.
    * Many more fixes and improvements; see upstream's release notes
      for the full list.
* Tue Oct 13 2026 Paolo Stivanin <info@paolostivanin.com>

      Apple Photos (macOS), watermark preview, all nine positions,
      separate insets and quarter-turn rotation
    * Edit in PhotoCraft (flat PSD hand-off)
    * Activity stack: one progress indicator for long-running tasks
    * Library: Keyword List and keywording box, folder colour
      labels, Synchronize Folder, creating folders on disk and moving
      photos, New Library and Open Recent Library, offline reverse
      geocoding, smart collection rules, Lightroom catalog detection

      Grading improvements, AI Denoise offload to another computer's
      graphics card, crop tool angle readout and Shift to keep
      proportions
    * Display: monitor ICC profiles, macOS previews follow the screen
      profile, system appearance and light themes, Lights Out view,
      sidebar sections, shared panel docking
    * Raw support: Sony ARW6 (ILCE-7RM6), DSC-R1 SR2, Fujifilm RAF
      and DNG WarpRectilinear2 lens corrections, Canon CR3 C-RAW
      fixes (EOS R5 Mark II, R50, R7), Nikon lossy and High
      Efficiency NEF handling, Olympus ORF, Hasselblad 3FR, Kodak
      DCS520C, DNG 1.7 and HEIC (release builds)
    * New translations: French, Ukrainian, Simplified Chinese;
      updated Russian
    * Linux riscv64 release build; Wayland file dialogs are children
      of the app window and XWayland is the default for drag-and-drop

      installers keep the legacy folder
    * Fixes for GPU denoise races, Intel Metal pipeline compile
      failures, library lock release on close, brush mask coverage,
      upper-case file extensions, and many UI behaviours
    * Full upstream notes:

* Sun Oct 11 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
  - New package lightcraft 0.5.0 (upstream tag v0.5.0, 2026-10-10),
    built from source with --features heif (pure-Rust heic-rs 0.1.1,
    no system HEIF library; HEVC patent comfort still open, disclosed
    in the Legal-Review-Notice).
  - License derived over the vendor tree for the shipped targets
    (lightcraft, lightcraft-cli): no copyleft linked; tag covers the
    embedded OFL-1.1 Inter fonts, Ubuntu-font-1.0, IJG, Unicode-3.0,
    CC0-1.0, CDLA-Permissive-2.0 and Zlib/ISC/BSD/MIT permissive code,
    see the Legal-Review-Notice in the spec.
  - Split off lightcraft-cli subpackage (headless renderer, command
    runner and MCP server); main package ships only the desktop app
    and recommends the CLI. License tag duplicated to the subpackage,
    Legal-Review-Notice still covers both targets incl. heif flag.
  - Reorder Requires to spec-cleaner order (cosmetic).
