Changelog

* Mon Oct 26 2026 Paolo Stivanin <info@paolostivanin.com>
  - Update to 0.13.1 (upstream tag v0.13.1, 2026-10-25):
    * Edit: fix source offset when trimming the start of a stretched
      audio clip; heal keeps each clip's gain envelope and skips clips
      whose mute or stretch differ; deleting fades leaves unrelated
      overlapping clips untouched; MIDI note selection stays valid
      across clip, session and note-order changes.
    * Tracks: track and group names are clipped to their rows in the
      side lists; track-name collisions after truncation are
      prevented; exact channel formats are preserved when committing
      tracks.
    * Audio I/O: Float32 WAV and AIFF-C encoding keeps finite
      headroom; the full WAVE_FORMAT_EXTENSIBLE fmt chunk is
      validated; older sessions with a bare Fit track height load.
    * VST3 host: IMessage and IAttributeList are provided to plugins.
    * automation.clip_gain_to_volume keeps the existing volume lane;
      the Record button tooltip names F12.
    * Re-vendored with update=true (cargo-dependencies group bump).
      License audit: no new copyleft in the Linux targets (only
      Windows/UEFI-only crates carry BSL-1.0 or LGPL options), so the
      License tag and the Legal-Review-Notice are unchanged. No new
      system deps.
  - Set the fixed AppStream release date to 2026-10-25 (v0.13.1).
* Fri Oct 23 2026 Paolo Stivanin <info@paolostivanin.com>
  - Update to 0.12.1 (upstream tag v0.12.1, 2026-10-22):
    * 0.11.0 is a version-only release (CI config, no code changes);
      0.12.0 was never tagged, and 0.12.1 only adds a macOS
      notarisation stapler retry on top of it.
    * Edit: bare "=" nudges the selected clip right, matching "-";
      the playlist stays sorted after delete_fades trims overlapping
      clips; automation writes keep the breakpoint at end + 1.
    * Mix: mix.send to an unknown bus name is rejected instead of
      creating a bus; normalize no longer produces inf samples for
      subnormal peaks.
    * Hardening: integer-overflow fixes in the tempo map, timecode
      frame counts and pan automation labels; undefined SMPTE frame
      rates in MIDI headers and zero/invalid NAL length widths in
      video bitstreams are rejected.
    * Re-vendored with update=true: no crates added or removed, only
      version bumps (icu_* 2.4.0, memmap2 0.9.12, tinystr 0.8.5,
      webbrowser 1.2.5, yoke 0.8.4, zerovec 0.11.9, plus clipboard-win,
      open and tokio, which the Linux targets do not link). License
      audit: every bumped crate keeps its licence, no new copyleft,
      so the License tag and the Legal-Review-Notice are unchanged.
      No new system deps; MSRV still 1.90. cargo_audit reports no
      advisories.
  - Set the fixed AppStream release date to 2026-10-22 (v0.12.1); it
    was still the v0.8.0 date.
* Wed Oct 21 2026 Paolo Stivanin <info@paolostivanin.com>
  - Update to 0.10.0 (upstream tag v0.10.0, 2026-10-20):
    * New: Modify Group dialog, Track > Instrument menu, portable mode
      (portable.txt next to the executable), automation breakpoint
      dragging and Alt-click delete, editor AppStream screenshot.
    * Plugins: inserted plugins open automatically; VST3 shows
      identity-mapped parameter text; CLAP port layouts beyond host
      limits rejected.
    * Fixes: punch range before placing a take, step input over the
      next MIDI clip, Min:Secs rounding, Fedora font paths.
    * Hardening: oversized MCP batches rejected, size and range
      checks in WAV, base64 and MIDI writers.
    * Re-vendored; no new system deps.
* Sun Oct 18 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
  - Update to 0.8.0 (upstream tag v0.8.0, 2026-10-17):
    * Follow stored paths only on this computer or the session's
      share (hardening against session-file misdirection); engine
      tests compile on Windows again. ProRes frame-size guards
      before plane allocation;
    * Re-vendor with update=true: arboard 3.7.0, combine 4.6.9,
      font-types 0.12.7, libc 0.2.191, zip 9.0.5, zvariant 5.15.1,
      craft-docpath 0.1.0 (MIT OR Apache-2.0); windows-sys 0.60.2
      pruned; craft-ui git rev unchanged (5c874d5). License audit
      finds no new copyleft (MPL-2.0 symphonia and Apache-2.0-option
      self_cell as before), so the License tag is unchanged. No CVEs
      in the v0.7.0 to v0.8.0 range, and no ruzstd in the vendor set
      (not affected by RUSTSEC-2026-0344).
* Thu Oct 15 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
  - Update to 0.7.0 (upstream tag v0.7.0):
    * Edit: Shuffle/Slip/Spot/Grid modes, Pencil/Grabber MIDI clips,
      transient detection with Tab to Transient, clip fades with live
      waveform previews, Consolidate over the selection.
    * Mix: separate Mix window, Pro Tools-like tracks/slots/faders,
      delay compensation on masters and aux bounces, VST3/CLAP safety.
    * Engine: crash recovery with unsaved-work offer, corrupt files and
      sessions refused instead of crashing, bounded control-server
      requests, no audio-thread allocs, streamed disk bounces.
    * UI: Silver Light theme, track tinting, grid over clips, Send levels
      to -inf, marker double-click rename, Hangul fallback font.
    * Files: .m4b audiobooks, File Open Recent, Signal Generator fills
      selection, MCP file-access confinement flags.
    * Re-vendor with update=true (craft-ui git dep still needed);
      license audit finds no new copyleft (MPL-2.0 symphonia and
      Apache-2.0-option self_cell as before), so the License tag is
      unchanged. No CVEs in the v0.6.1 to v0.7.0 range.
    * Many more fixes and improvements; see upstream's release notes
      for the full list.
* Tue Oct 13 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
  - Update to version 0.6.1:
    * New built-in Sampler instrument; record takes straight to
      disk.
    * Save safety: copies without retargeting, never overwrite
      audio or sessions, synced saves with backups, prompt on
      unsaved changes.
    * Edit window: fixed drag selection, trackpad panning with
      pinch and Cmd+scroll zoom, Clip List management and clip
      export as files.
    * Mixer routing menus and numeric controls; instrument params
      pushed before each block; adaptive meter polling with live
      armed meters while stopped.
    * MIDI controller export honouring the tracks filter,
      multichannel import, per-file consolidation, named-bus
      bounce with unknown-bus rejection.
    * CLI: survive closed stdout, dotted command-id shorthand,
      MCP batch surfaces failures with keep_going; app sleeps
      when idle or covered.
    * Re-vendor for zip 9 (session bundles), nix, typed-path and
      the craft-ui git dependency; license audit finds no new
      copyleft, so the License tag is unchanged. No CVEs in the
      0.5.0 to 0.6.1 range.
* Sun Oct 11 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
  - Initial package (version 0.5.0): native digital audio
    workstation with non-destructive clip editing (fades, playlists,
    grids, markers) and a mixer with inserts, sends, buses,
    automation and metering.
  - Built-in EQ, dynamics, reverb, delay, modulation and instruments;
    CLAP and VST3 plugin hosting with per-vendor menus.
  - Imports WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3 and MIDI and bounces mixes to disk;
    the soundcraft-cli subpackage adds headless editing and an MCP
    server for scripting and agents.
  - Recent highlights: clip-gain nudge, resizable MIDI dock, tempo
    operations as stretch factor, snap to neighbours, metronome click
    in live playback, Linux system fonts via fontconfig, and logging
    to stderr plus a rotating log file.
